關(guān)于"中芯學(xué)校校服"的告家長(zhǎng)書

　　Dear Parents and Students,

　　我們非常高興地宣布，自2017年9月1日起，全體中芯學(xué)生（美語(yǔ)大班-12年級(jí)），將擁有自己的統(tǒng)一正裝校服。

　　We are pleased to announce that from September 1, 2017 all Shanghai SMIC Private School students (K2 – Grade 12) will have their own formal school uniform.

　　據(jù)相關(guān)研究數(shù)據(jù)表明：對(duì)于學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō)，校服在提升榮譽(yù)感、降低著裝壓力、增加自信和自我認(rèn)知、增強(qiáng)安全感和歸屬感等方面具有積極意義。對(duì)于家長(zhǎng)來(lái)說(shuō)，孩子穿著校服上學(xué)，有助于早晨出門前的時(shí)間管理以及控制孩子的服裝支出成本。對(duì)于教師來(lái)說(shuō)，校服使得他們能夠在組織學(xué)生出游時(shí)識(shí)別學(xué)生，并規(guī)范其行為，增強(qiáng)班級(jí)凝聚力。而對(duì)于學(xué)校和社區(qū)來(lái)說(shuō)，身著大方得體而又不失時(shí)尚校服的中芯學(xué)子，本身就是一道亮麗的風(fēng)景。

　　Research shows that school uniforms have a positive impact in many aspects. For students, it increases their confidence, self-esteem, sense of security, community identity, while decreasing peer pressure. For parents, it helps with effective time management and clothing cost control. For teachers, school uniforms allow them to easily identify their students during field trips. For the school and community, properly dressed students can elevate school image and brand name.

　　中芯校服的推出，是學(xué)校領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和全體家長(zhǎng)的共同努力，是經(jīng)過(guò)長(zhǎng)達(dá)幾個(gè)月的反復(fù)討論和商議，參考了許多國(guó)際學(xué)校校服式樣后的慎重決定。同時(shí)校服的招標(biāo)和采購(gòu)，也是在極其規(guī)范的程序下完成的，面料嚴(yán)格按照市政府下發(fā)的《關(guān)于加強(qiáng)本市中小學(xué)生校服管理若干意見(jiàn)》精心挑選，請(qǐng)各位家長(zhǎng)放心給孩子穿著。

　　The launch of SMIC school uniform is a joint effort of school leadership and the PTA, the result of months of discussions and negotiations with 3 vendors while considering the uniform styles of many other international schools. The bidding and final uniform selection process followed the bidding and procurement standards established by government regulations. In addition, the choice of uniform fabric meets the strict standards of Shanghai municipal government as well.

　　本次推出的校服式樣為適合春秋季節(jié)的襯衣、馬甲和下裝（半身裙和長(zhǎng)褲），并配有領(lǐng)結(jié)和領(lǐng)帶。按照學(xué)生年齡和心理特征，小學(xué)生的設(shè)計(jì)側(cè)重天真可愛(ài)、易于行動(dòng)；中學(xué)生的設(shè)計(jì)則突出莊重大方。校服的設(shè)計(jì)以國(guó)際主流校服式樣為藍(lán)本，能夠幫助孩子們樹(shù)立正確的審美觀，學(xué)會(huì)在不同場(chǎng)合選擇不同的服飾, 從而樹(shù)立起作為國(guó)際公民的自信。

　　The uniform roll out will be done in phases. The first school uniform is a set consisting of a shirt, vest and skirt or trousers, with accessories such as bowtie (elementary) or necktie (middle and high). The uniform is suitable for spring and autumn. The design is compatible with student age. For example, elementary school style brings out playfulness and innocence while allowing the students to wear it while moving easily. The middle/high school uniform emphasizes elegance and decency while preparing the students for college prep, college, and even a professional setting. Both designs are modeled after mainstream school uniforms worldwide and help instill a proper aesthetic sense into students who will be able to choose different clothing for different occasions and enhance their self-confidence as global citizens.

　　作為第一次訂制校服嘗試，學(xué)校會(huì)采用漸進(jìn)式的推廣方法，讓學(xué)生有一個(gè)從接受校服，到喜歡校服，再到強(qiáng)烈要求穿著校服的心理適應(yīng)和轉(zhuǎn)變過(guò)程。從今年9月份起，學(xué)校要求學(xué)生在開(kāi)學(xué)典禮、升旗儀式等重大活動(dòng)場(chǎng)合穿著校服，同時(shí)每周選定一天作為校服日，其余日期學(xué)生可穿著自己的服飾。此后我們會(huì)視學(xué)生、家長(zhǎng)和教師的反饋，逐步推出冬季、夏季系列，以及增加配飾，供學(xué)生自由搭配和選擇。

　　Since this is our first attempt at a school uniform, students will have a transitional period to get used to wearing them. Starting with the new school year, students will wear uniforms at the convocation and the flag-raising ceremony each Monday, and on other major school-designated occasions. The school has selected each Monday as the "Uniform Day" when all students need to wear the formal uniform. On other days, students have the option to wear the uniform, or they can wear their own clothes that follow the school dress code. Later, the school will gradually launch the summer/winter uniforms based on feedback from staff, students and parents and add more options of accessories for students to mix and match.
